Academy Health goes green(er) - literally! For a long time we have tried to ship our products in shipping materials that are recyclable. Customers will find a change to their shipments from June 5, 2009 as we are now
filling them with Flo-pak green an environmentally friendly product made by FP International. This loosefill product, itself coloured green, has the following benefits:
* manufactured from 100% recycled polystyrene
* degrades in the presence of micro-organisms
* re-usable and recyclable
* cleaner and lighter than starch loosefill and paper (and therefore uses less energy and carbons in transporting your package).
New Products: We we will be adding lots of new health supplements and skincare products to our already extensive range throughout 2009. Please keep checking back. You can find all our latest additions by clicking on the New
Products button on the left hand side of the page.
Expect to see many new products from manufacturers such as Higher Nature, Quest Vitamins, Weleda and Trilogy - and look out for special low prices on "everyday" items such as Quest Multivitamins, Vitamin C, Omega 3 Fish Oil and Cod Liver
oil, Glucosamine, Acidophilus - and many more!
VAT News 29 November 2008: following the government's decision to reduce vat from 17.5% to 15%, Academy Health have reviewed the pricing on our product range. We already discount significantly well over half of the products we
sell. Rather than
cut every price by the 2.5% vat reduction, we have chosen therefore to apply far larger price cuts to nearly 200 of the more popular products we sell. These cuts will often be in the range of 5% to 10% off the previous price. Other
products, most of which were already discounted, have had their prices remain the same. It is our intention to remain as competitive as before and we will continue to review our pricing across our entire product range.
It should also be noted that Recommended Selling Prices (shown for comparison purposes) have not been changed. They represent the level of recommended selling price we believe was correct prior to the vat change. At the present
time we do not know what action
manufacturers will be taking on their pricing structures, and therefore we have left the recommended selling price figures at the pre-VAT change level.
