Paying online is simple, we accept Mastercard, Visa and Switch debit cards. For
more details see above. If you place an offline order you will be contacted by
one of our representatives to arrange payment - this will usually be by cheque
or postal order. Please make cheques payable to: Academy Consumer Products

Is my transaction secure?
Every on-line transaction made within Academy Health is transmitted across the
Internet using SSL (Secure Socket Layer)
encryption. This industry standard method ensures that information sent from
your browser is scrambled whilst in transit and decoded when it arrives on our
server. You are arguably safer using your credit card within Academy Health
than you are in a restaurant in your local high street. We take the issue of
security very seriously and have taken every step possible to protect you. Our
servers sit behind a state of the art hardware firewall.
What if I have problems ordering?
Common reasons for problems when pressing the order button are;
i) You are using an old browser that doesn't support SSL encryption.
ii) You are browsing from behind a corporate firewall that will not allow
secure connections. Speak to the system administrator at your office. They will
either rectify the problem or you will have to order from another location.
To check, point your browser to https://www.microsoft.com/ if you cannot
connect to the Microsoft secure server it is likely that one of the above
faults apply.
If you are able to connect to Microsoft please call our hotline number and
report the fault to us. We will assist you if we can.
Shipping Costs & What if I do not receive my goods?
Please wait 5 days if you are in the UK or 14 days if you are overseas. If you
do not receive your goods after this period of time, please contact us at info@academyhealth.co.uk or telephone us at 0845-370-
3203 with your order number to hand. This number will be included in the e-mail
you received when you ordered the goods from our shop. We will strive to
resolve the issue quickly.
Save Money: our flat rate shipping charges are a set amount per order, so
adding extra items to an order will reduce the average shipping cost per item.
We now make a flat rate charge per order of £2.50 on all UK orders. For orders
outside the UK we make a £7.50 flat rate charge per order.
For very large orders, we reserve the right to charge shipping on an individual
basis. If this applies to your order, we will contact you direct before
shipping to make you aware of this.
UK orders are shipped by Royal Mail first class and usually take 1-2 days to
arrive after shipment. Please allow 3-4 days from the date your order is
placed.
Overseas orders are shipped by Air Mail and delivery times vary by country.
Shipments to Western Europe usually take 5-7 days from the date your order is
placed. Shipments elsewhere may take up to 14 days from the date your order is
placed.
Please note: we cannot guarantee delivery times as they are outside of our
control. For UK shipments, you may request a next day Special Delivery, please
call us on 0845-370-3203 to arrange this.
In addition, if your delivery address is in the USA or Canada we regret we will
not be able to supply you, as we do not ship to these countries.
When is my credit card debited?
Your card will normally be debited when the goods are dispatched. An
authorisation takes place when you place your order. This simply guarantees
that the funds are available on your card and that payment will be made to us.
This authorisation remains valid for seven days. When the goods are dispatched,
we will debit funds from your account overnight directly into our own. If
certain items in your order are out of stock or unobtainable we will only
partially debit your card order. We are also able to cancel or refund
individual items of your order should this become necessary.
What happens if my card authorisation fails?
If the authorisation fails, the most likely explanation is that you have input
your card details incorrectly. If this happens, press the back button on your
browser and you will be returned to the card input page. Check that all the
details are correct, and make any changes necessary before proceeding. If all
the details are correct and you still fail to get an authorisation then we
advise that you contact your card issuer to establish why your card was not
authorised. We will receive your order anyway and may contact you to arrange
for alternative methods of payment.
Stock Levels
Our products are offered subject to availability. If for any reason we cannot
supply you with any part of your order we will contact you via email or phone
to advise you. We may need to cancel or refund the item from your order, in
which case the funds will be paid directly back into your account.
Where we are out of stock of a product we may in some instances substitute a
similar product. If we do this we will charge for the LOWER of the original
price and the substituted price. If you are not happy with the substitution you
can advise us, return the product and we will not charge you.
Prices are subject to change without notice. Academy Consumer reserve the right
to refuse any order, at our sole discretion. However, if we do refuse your
order, we will tell you our reasons.
Acknowledgement of Orders
We will acknowledge all orders by e-mail. Acknowledgement of an order does not
constitute acceptance of your order by us. It is simply a confirmation to you
that the order has been received.
Returns Policy
Academy Consumer offer some of the fairest trading terms available on the
internet.
If the goods we supply are defective, provided you notify us within 14 days of
receiving them, we will accept the return of the products and will either
replace the product or repay you the purchase price, at your option. If we
charged you a shipping cost, we will reimburse that too or supply the
replacement without any shipping charge.
If you are not satisfied with the goods - for any reason - provided you notify
us within 7 days of receiving them, we will accept their return (unopened and
unused) and we will credit you within 30 days of their return.
Your statutory rights under UK law are not affected by these provisions.
Privacy Policy
We will not pass your details to any other company without your permission,
other than in the normal course of processing your order (for example, we will
provide your details to credit card processors in order to process your
payment). Any personal data will not be transferred out of the EEA. Academy
Consumer Products Limited may contact you by email or post from time to time
with details of other products or services we have available, unless you
request we do not do so.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Your Safety
Information contained in this site concerning products and health conditions is
provided solely for general education and interest. It is based on published
literature and manufacturers' information available at the time the product was
listed by Academy Consumer.
Although every effort is made to keep these details up to date, manufacturers'
changes of specification may, in some cases, not yet have been notified to
Academy Consumer.
Always read, and follow, the manufacturer's detailed information and directions
which accompany the product.
Purchasers should discuss with their doctor if they have any doubt concerning
the treatment they are considering selecting. Women who are pregnant or
planning a pregnancy should consult their doctor before taking any health
product.
