The natural amino acid called 5HTP is the precursor used by the body to make the neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin plays a role in sleep, mood and metabolism. Best taken before bed. Available in 50mg and 100mg size capsules. Not advisable if pregnant or taking fenfluramine. Care should also be taken if being prescribed SSRIs.
Suggested intake: 100mg capsule: Take 1 capsule a day.
