About the Product:
Folic acid deficiency is associated with an increased risk of neural tube defects. Folic acid deficiency is associated with a type of anemia called megaloblastic anemia. Folic acid is required for the breakdown of homocysteine; elevated homocysteine is associated with cardiovascular disease. Folic acid is required for normal DNA metabolism and is involved in genetic expression and cell division.
